Country = personality?
I've met quite a few people from various cultures in my life. From South and North Americans to Europeans to Australians (but actually I've never visited Asia, wonder why).
When thinking about with whom I've had the easiest way to communicate and with whom the interaction has been more difficult, I've got to say, it doesn't matter actually.
Of course you'd think that Europeans might be the easiest to communicate with since we share the same continent etc but I think it's more due to the personality of the people I've met. Sometimes you just click.
So when reading these definitions by Lewis and Hofstede, they are a huge generalisations. They are a guide to understanding people from different culture.
I mean, there are a lot of Finnish people I don't share the same values with and then there are some that I agree 100 % with.
It's not necessarily about the country. It's about the person.
